A Purpose Driven Life Chapter 24 - Transformed By Truth
Chapter Overview: This chapter in growing to be like Christ was about seeing and accepting God's Word as truth - as it is, complete and infallible - and acting on it. Rick also suggested that the reader try and get into a daily/yearly habit of reading through the bible.

What would you do if you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Bible was the end all source of God's truth? Apparently Billy Graham had questions about certain passages in the bible. One night he laid them before the lord and decided to accept the bible as a whole as gods truth and after that his ministry had more power and anointing.I gotta say this is one of the things I struggle with. It's interesting, actually, since one of the things Rick mentions in his introduction where he talks about all the different versions of the Bible he uses in the book is that he uses many short quotes/phrases from scripture following how scripture was quoted on the bible by Jesus and the apostles - sort of leaving the context out. God help me get to the place You want me to be.... figuring out the place for the Bible in my life.

The Truth transforms me. 'If you continue in my word, the you are my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free'. What has God already told me in his Word that I haven't started doing yet? Speaking the truth in love - being more confrontational in situations where I know something is not right.... choosing to ignore the situation is wrong.
